Youth hunters will be heading to the great outdoors this weekend for the start of the 2018 Youth Deer Gun Season.
This season is designed to allow youths who are 17-years-old or younger the first opportunity to harvest deer with modern firearms. Deer archery season has been open since Oct. 1, and deer muzzleloader season will open Oct. 27.
This will be a three-day season. So you do not have a lot of time for deer gun hunting. Therefore, take advantage of the three days and go out have some fun.
According to Associated Press on Cincinnati, the gun-hunting season in Ohio is set to start in the month of November.
hio’s archery season for hunting white-tailed deer begins later this month, while gun season for deer hunting begins in November.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says the archery season begins Sept. 29 and continues through Feb. 3, 2019. State officials say gun seasons for deer hunters will be Nov. 26 through Dec. 2 and Dec. 15 and 16. Muzzleloader season will be Jan. 5 through Jan. 8, 2019.
The season will start on November 26, 2018, and end on December 2, 2018. This is not a long hunting season. But the timeframe is better than for those in Oklahoma.

A cool down coincided with the two-day gun season for youth deer hunters. It also excited archery and crossbow hunters getting into the woods, blinds and tree stands.
“It wasn’t really fit to do much but go hunting,” said Gabe Jenkins, deer and elk program coordinator with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. “We saw good participation over the weekend.”
On deck for deer hunters in Kentucky are the October muzzleloader (Oct. 20-21), modern gun (Nov. 10-25) and late muzzleloader seasons (Dec. 8-16) before the free youth weekend on Dec. 29-30, 2018.
This season will run for 15 days, from November 10, 2018, to November 15, 2018.
